TuneBed FAQs

What does the TuneBed do?

The TuneBed uses sounds, music and vibrations in perfect resonance to put the mind and body into a state of rest and recovery (parasympathetic state) within a 15 minute session.

Working on a cellular level, it is proven to reduce stress and anxiety by balancing the two hemispheres of your brain and lowering your cortisol levels while increasing your feel good hormones.

Tuning regularly also helps to alleviate body and head pains by communicating with the cells in our body to recover from inflammation.

How will I feel after my session?

Tuning has an immediate effect on the mind and body with 24 hour lasting effects, so you will usually feel more relaxed, calm and focused. Simply put, a better version of yourself.

Can I choose my own frequency?

Yes! There are 7 different, unique frequencies to choose from to tailor to your needs at the time of your session.

How often should I Tune?

Tuning is just like going to the gym. You will feel great right after and you will feel great the next day, but to see optimal results it is suggested 1-2x a week.

Can I Tune if I am pregnant?

Absolutely, and it is even recommended. Tuning reduces blood pressure for mothers and increases blood flow to the baby. Tuning also reduces body pain and anxiety.

Do I have to bring anything with me?

Just your mind & body! We provide the headphones, essential oils and blankets to help you relax. If you need additional support for your neck or back feel free to bring your own pillow.

Red Light FAQs

How does Red Light Therapy work?

Red light therapy works by acting on the “power plant” in your body’s cells called the mitochondria. With more energy, our cells can do their work more efficiently, such as repairing skin, boosting new cell growth and enhancing our happy hormones.

What should I wear?

Using red light while fully clothed is completely okay however we suggest if you are targeting a specific part of the body to wear undergarments or nude.

Can I wear makeup during my session?

Yes, you can. It won't hurt anything, however, red and near infrared light therapy works best on clean, bare skin.

Will I get a tan from Red Light?

No, there is no UVA or UVB light emitted from the device.

Do I need to wear eye protection?

We do recommend wearing eye protection when treating your face, although it is not necessary and safe to expose your eyes to. We provide eye protection for you.

Is red light therapy safe?

Red light therapy has been studied extensively and is proven to be effective by thousands of medical studies and clinical trials. The studies have shown extremely positive results, and an almost total lack of side effects or health risks associated with it.

Can red light help with arthritis?

Yes! Red light therapy can help to reduce pain and swelling in inflamed joints caused by arthritis.

Infrared Sauna FAQs

How does an Infrared Sauna work?

Infrared light will penetrate several inches into the body and create heat, resulting in a whole-body hyperthermia (increased body temperature) on a cellular level to make you sweat.

What do I wear?

You can wear a bathing suit or a towel. You will be in a private room alone or with a known partner.

What are the benefits of using an Infrared Sauna?

Sweating is the best way to rid the body of toxins (toxic drugs, pollutants, pesticides and heavy metals), which in turn improves the immune system and overall health.

Sweating is also a great way to increase metabolic rate and reduce stress -- it’s like a workout without the work (burning 600+ calories per session.)

The infrared sauna helps you detoxify, improves circulation, lymphatic drainage and cardiovascular health, reduces pain, increases your metabolic rate to jumpstart weight loss, rejuvenates your skin, and reduces stress and cortisol levels.

How should I prepare for my session?

Obviously with all the sweating, you want to make sure to hydrate!  Please come to each session well-hydrated, not hungover or after drinking alcohol.

Drinking water is available in the sauna room.

Is this like a steam room?

Nope! Invisible light heats the body, not the surrounding air, so it is more comfortable and allows you to enjoy a longer session than with traditional steam saunas.

Who is an Infrared Sauna not safe for?

Infrared Sauna use is not recommended for people who are pregnant, children under 12, those who cannot handle temperature extremes, those with hemophilia, fever, insensitivity to heat, and those under the influence of alcohol.

Lymphatic Drainage FAQs

What can I expect to feel?

Because many of the lymph vessels are just under the skin, moving the lymph requires very light touch. Our practitioner uses flat hands and finger pads in painless, rhythmic movements enough to be described as a light Swedish massage.

What do I have to do post treatment?

Hydration, hydration, hydration! The lymphatic system is a sub-system of both your circulatory and excretory systems so you want as much water to help things flow smoothly.

We do also recommend staying active after your massage, so that means not going home and laying on the couch. A short walk or even cleaning up around the house so your lymph system can continue to drain is ideal.

What do I need to do to prepare?

Since hydration is one of the best ways to help support your lymphatic system we always recommend drinking plenty of water 24 hours before your appointment and avoiding alcohol or excessive caffeine.

We also recommend not eating a large meal up to 2 hours prior to your appointment.

Is this pregnancy safe?

Yes! If you are suffering from tired feet or swelling due to water retention, lymphatic drainage during pregnancy can be helpful. It also helps to remove toxins from the body thus keeping you and your baby at ultimate health.

We always recommend getting clearance from your Doctor.

Why does this help after surgery?

Manual Lymph Massage helps to move the fluid by gently pumping it back into the lymph vessels, reducing the swelling, retention of fluids and pain after the surgery.

Without Lymph Massage the inflammation can evolve into fibrosis (a permanent hardening of the tissue) or a seroma (pocket of serum).

Many doctors prescribe Lymph Drainage Therapy after liposuction or other plastic surgery procedures to make sure their patients get the best possible results from their procedure.

How many times do I have to come to see results?

Since all of our bodies and systems are different, results will vary.

Ex: If you are suffering from serious GI issues or have autoimmune inflammation, treatments can be beneficial 1-2x month.

Our specialist will discuss your health goals and map out a treatment plan for you.
